Not In Vain

I was not going to write about this. An hour after I heard about the tragedies in CT, I called me ten year old brother Isaac. All I could think as he told me about school and the sports he’s in was that a few hours East of me so many people had lost the Isaacs in their life. My hope is, and I really think I see this in the media’s reflection on those lost, this will stir us to make us better people.

To realize there is this ugliness in the world that we can only fight through our love and kindness.

I hope it leads to an assault rifle ban. I hope, as we hang up another year, as we roll past the Mayan calender, we increase our pace towards the better worl our generation has the power to create.

Thank you Saturday Night life for your touching opening featuring a children’s choir.

Thanks to the Onion for their unafraid coverage that none of the other major media networks were in a position to speak out in that way.
