Once a parrot sanctuary, this popular attraction has grown into a large-scale wildlife park with all manners of wonderful creatures great and small. Bring the kids and have a cracking day out, enjoying the many demonstrations and shows throughout the day.
If you’re a hiker at heart, Tenerife is home to several excellent mountain ranges. In the far north-east of the island, the Anaga Mountains offer plenty of diversity and a wonderful environment to explore. And of course the great Teide National Park is a must-see, complete with a soaring peak – Mt Teide – that’s the tallest in Spain. Whizz to the top by cable car and enjoy sweeping views and snow-topped peaks.
